Dear colleagues,
During two meetings of the members of all working bodies of the Conference (kept before its start and closing ceremony), among others, questions dealing with the organization our next conferences were reconsidered. The most important conclusions from these meetings are as follows. Nomination of Greece for the host of the second Conference (II CMAPSEEC) has been fully accepted. Thus, Greece will be the host of the next Conference that will be held in the year 2002, approximately at the end of June, or at the beginning of July, the most probably in Chania at the island of Crete. From the other side, it was decided to offer Slovakian side to nominate for the host of the third Conference, which will be held in the year 2004. Preliminary nomination of FYR Macedonia for the fourth Conference was recorded too.
General opinion was that nomination of Greece could accelerate taking of all regional countries into our next conferences, especially those, which were not participated the first one (Albania, Turkey). Regarding the offer Slovakian side to nominate for the host of the third Conference, it was considered as proper decision, but not only because that nomination had very width and powerful support. It was considered as the attempt to demonstrate general openness of our conferences not only to the countries belonging to the Southeast European region but also to those being out of that.
